I’ve always been told that I move waaaaaay too much, and I’m beginning to believe it myself! I just completed my third move in less than a year and I can safely say I have no plans to move again anytime soon (keeping my fingers crossed). Besides, I’ve been dying to move back into downtown Denver. The streets are filled to the brim with happy Denverites and spring days are beyond gorgeous. It also happens to be what I consider the perfect environment for budding entrepreneurs. A thinker’s paradise if you will. Where the young and intellectual gather to make their dreams come true.
Okay, okay, I’ll quit with the sappy city portrait but I really do love this place and I’m ecstatic to be downtown where my ideas can run wild.
That brings me to my point, your home and location should fuel your creativity and make you feel good about what you’re doing. Being an Entrepreneur is all about escaping the rat race and working towards bettering your life, but how can you ever accomplish that if you’re not even happy with your surroundings? Even if it means getting a smaller place to fit your budget, the downgrade is well worth the boost in morale that your new surroundings will surely provide.
As for me? I downgraded in space, upgraded in location, recovered my drive, and have a cozy new office with a nice window to boot! Moving also gave me and the lady an opportunity to take off the weekend and zen out. Spending the last two days unpacking, sipping coffee, baking, and crafting moss terrariums has been more than refreshing. It has truly been a case of in with the new and out with the old.
